Key Responsibilities:
The person responsible for the plant in the absence of the Production Manager is responsible for the following duties:
- Participating in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) activities.
- Monitoring and addressing quality issues that arise during the shift.
- Coordinating all production and productivity-related issues and assigning operator duties in accordance with the instructions provided by the Production Manager.
- Coordinating with the shift maintenance operator to address and follow up on any maintenance-related issues.
- Completing and submitting the production report template at the end of each shift, documenting key production metrics—including produced, rejected, and reworked items—for the different operations within the plant, along with any relevant observations.
- Supervising and providing guidance to shift operators to ensure safe, efficient, and effective plant operations.
- Ensuring that all operators and visitors comply with the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements while on the plant premises.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Engineering degree with at least one year of experience in Production Supervision OR Technical Education Institution degree with at least two years of experience as a Production Supervisor OR Secondary school education with at least two years of experience as an Operator and three years of experience as a Production Supervisor.
- Priority of industry experience: Explosives, Chemical, Pharmaceutical
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Strong leadership skills and a proactive leadership attitude.
- Ability and willingness to work in shifts, including rotating shifts as required by the production schedule.
